Budget photo safaris
Page
For who are these trips made for?
These budget photo safaris are meant for anyone who enjoys taking pictures and filming of nature and wildlife for a reasonable price.
If you have never been on a safari we understand that doing a safari seems pretty expensive.
Even this budget photo safari is not a bargain and how does that comes?
The park entrees and all other obliged fees are serious. Only for entering the parks, driving through with our jeeps and camping you have to pay a lot of money.
If you are looking for safari with outstanding luxury, please try to find something elso but also take into account other prices!
We are travelling with own driver/guides and cooks.
So no fancy five star lodges with bath and TV and five course diners where you have to be tip top dressed in your new bought Tin Tin safari outfits.
We use simple and sometimes basic campsites and sleep in comfortable tents.
Of course there will be cooked for you and you have all time for relaxing and enjoying your photo or filming hobby.
We are famous for being at the right time at the right place and that means we follow the light!
Not an elephant with baby in hot day sunlight makes your pictures super, but trying to take those pictures in a nice warm, evening sunset, that's our power!
Photography and filming during these trips is number one.
Specific for (digital) photographers and filmers
These trips are for people who enjoy landscape and wildlife photography.
Is this trip only meant for people with the state of art video camera's and longest and best telelenses in the world?
No certainly not, but we recommend some tele range starting from 200 or 300 mm's.
With only a small snapshot camera you probably won't take the shots you are looking for and our experiences learn people are disappointed in the end seeing their results.
Be aware that fanatic wildlife shooters sometimes wait for hours to get that one particular shot in the right scenery and with the best light.
If you are not to a certain and if you only want to rush after the big five to drop them from your list, may be (re)consider joining this trip?
If you are still shooting analogue it's not a problem at all.
Our experiences are that almost 99% of the people are shooting and filming digital and that you have the (re)charge regularly.
That's where we are specific focussed on and prepared for.
We have a specific photo tent or arrange a particular place for you on the campsite for editing pictures, charging and working on your materials.
Also in the car(s) we have power supply, so you don't will miss a shot because of being out of full batteries. We also provide beanbags to use on the roof or in the windows to take the best shots.
Please let you tripods at home.
Our driver/guides are aware that taking the best shots is very time consuming and sometimes even disappointing.
You have to be on the right time on the right place.
We try to arrange you will get all the shots you have been looking for.
Of course keep in mind that finding the animals is called a 'game drive', so sometime you win, sometimes you loose.
That's the game!
As written before, we have specific equipment and arrangements for (digital) camera's.
That's the difference with many other budget safari companies.
You can take as many pictures if you like because power in the jeeps or on the campsite is not a problem.
